Bernadine P. Futrell is a new Senior Fellow at the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL)! For over 60 years, IEL has been a catalyst in uniting leaders and organizations focused on ensuring that every child and family has the resources and opportunities to thrive. Previously, she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, and as Director of the Office of Head Start at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. After four years of proudly leading education and early childhood policy for the Biden-Harris administration, she is excited to continue shaping the future of education at IEL!
