Dr. Leigh Reagan Alley gets #celebratED for receiving the 2026 Faculty Meritorious Service Award from the College of Professional Studies at the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA)! In presenting the award, it was noted that Leigh has distinguished herself as an exceptional educator, scholar and leader, whose work has advanced the education program at the university. Described as a catalyst for meaningful change in the field of education, Leigh launched the first of its kind Whole Child Masters program at UMA, and she has authored a series of children’s books, Shiny Friends Super Squad, as well as three xSELeratED titles, all contributing to healthy implementation of social-emotional learning for students and teachers. In addition to this, Leigh has been selected to join the 2026–2027 Fred Rogers Institute Educators’ Neighborhood, an international community of practice. We celebrate her as a source of brilliance in everything to which she contributes, and we are excited to partner with her as she continues to build her legacy!
