Marceline Catlett named Region III Virginia Superintendent of the Year!

Dr. Marceline Rollins Catlett gets #celebratED for being named Region III Virginia Superintendent of the Year by the Virginia Association of School Superintendents (VASS)! She has served as Superintendent of the Fredericksburg City Public Schools (FCPS) since 2019, with more than four decades of service to the division overall. Her leadership has been defined by a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, student well-being, and community partnership, VASS said in a statement announcing the award. Marci is also a Past President of the Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is now in the running with other division winners for the 2027 Virginia Superintendent of the Year Award, to be announced at the Annual VASS Conference this spring. We celebrate her for all of her contributions throughout her career, and especially for this important recognition from her colleagues and peers!
