Samantha Shane publishes “7 Practical and Engaging Ways to Use Times Resources in Career and Technical Education” in the New York Times! It was featured yesterday in the paper’s Great Ideas from Readers feature, showcasing how teachers use newspapers in the classroom. In her piece, Samantha offers practical, real-world examples from education to biochemistry to smarter living and the opinion pages, walking her audience through the “how to” of turning newsworthy items authentic learning for students. Samantha is a Career and Technical Education teacher with the Morris County Vocational School District, a Worthy Educator Leader, a regular panelist on our Worthy Town Halls, and a contributing author to our flagship journal, Legacy: Transformation in Action.
