Sonia Llamas gets #celebratED as the new superintendent of the Riverside, California Unified School District! Most recently, she served as Associate Superintendent for Educational Services for the Orange County Department of Education, and prior to that as Assistant Superintendent of K-12 School Performance and Culture with the Santa Ana Unified School District. She is passionate about “ensuring we create the conditions for all students to thrive, for every staff member to feel supported and empowered, and for families and communities to feel seen, heard, and engaged as valued partners in our shared journey.” We congratulate her on this new appointment and we look forward to hearing great things as a result of her leadership at Riverside!
