Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Dr. Keitha Osbourne!

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Keitha Osbourne, a dedicated educator and champion of children and their future. Keitha was a Senior Lecturer at The Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica. I had the privilege of knowing Keitha and working with her both virtually and in person. She was an amazing educator who leaves a powerful legacy of impact and inspiration for all of us lucky enough to have connected with her throughout her life.

Keitha's expertise was in special education and technology, and she dedicated her career to empower educators, parents and stakeholders everywhere to promote inclusion for students with disabilities so that they can reach their full potential. She studied at Fayetteville State University, Nova Southeastern University, and the University of Technology in Jamaica and worked as a media specialist, reading coach, and family and consumer teacher before moving to higher education to train future educators.

Personally, Keitha loved traveling, finding a bargain shopping and listening to the rain fall. Her smile lit up a room and her spirit commanded attention. She was an avid collaborator who talked the talk, but more importantly, walked the walk, modeling what she expected of others. It can be truly said that the world is a better place for having Keitha in it. She will be truly missed! To honor her service and her memory, we continue her work so that future generations will benefit from her legacy of service, integrity and the belief in the right of every child to enjoy a richer, fuller life.

Thank you, Dr. Keitha Osbourne, for being an example to all of us aspiring to make a difference. The work continues!
